Vedanta Copper Smelter Expansion Plan Refused
Vedanta stated on Tuesday that his application for expanding production at the copper smelter in the small Indian town of Thhotukudi was rejected by the state pollution regulatory agency.
It is reported that the equipment of the smelter is currently closed and a 15-day maintenance of the equipment is planned. The original plan started on March 27, but the company stated that its maintenance time may be extended.
